Reptiles of Desert

Today, The Department of Life Sciences organized an insightful guest lecture on the topic "Reptiles of Desert." The lecture was delivered by Dr. N S Rathore, former Joint Director of the Zoological Survey of India, Jodhpur. Dr. Rathore shared his extensive knowledge and experience regarding the diverse reptilian species found in desert ecosystems, with a special focus on the Thar Desert. The session highlighted the adaptive strategies of reptiles in arid environments, their ecological significance, and the challenges they face due to habitat loss and climate change.
