Debate competition organized on National Unity Day
Jodhpur, October 31. On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the 'National Unity Day 2025' programme was organised with great enthusiasm at G.D. Memorial Group of Colleges, Sector 4, Kudi Bhagatsuni, Jodhpur today. On this occasion, a debate competition was organised in the college on the topic 'Artificial Intelligence a Boon or a Threat to Employment in India'. Academic Director Professor J.J. Mishra inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. In this competition, students presented strong arguments on the benefits and drawbacks of artificial intelligence. Some described it as a path to new employment opportunities, while others described it as a threat to traditional jobs. The jury evaluated the participants' speeches based on logic, language, and presentation. Prizes were awarded to the best performing students. In the debate competition, Santosh, a second-year B.Sc. B.Ed. student, and Usha, a first-year B.A.B.Ed. student, took first place. In the reel-making competition, Santosh Chaudhary, a third-year B.A.B.Ed. student, took first place, while Ravina Patel, a first-year B.A.B.Ed. student, took second place. At the conclusion of the programme, Academic Director Prof. J.J. Mishra felicitated the winners and in his address said, "The judicious use of artificial intelligence can become a tool for human development."
